FDr. Dr. Athena Georgene is the President of the Royal Institution Singapore and the Consultant/ Adviser to all the over 260 Royal Institutes of Singapore, as well as to 60 other affiliated companies in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. After graduating with a Diploma in Film, Sound and Video from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore, she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London, UK.
She completed a Master in Business Administration and her Doctor in Business Administration at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. She co-authored the book “Integrated Marketing Communication” in 2014. Dr. Athena Georgene has a wealth of experience across multiple industries and disciplines. From Line Producer and Casting Manager at Pagoda Pictures Pte Ltd, Singapore and Film Executive with Cathay-Keris Films Pte Ltd, Singapore to Financial Consultant at IPP Financial Advisers Pte Ltd, Singapore, at Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte Ltd, Singapore, and Singcapital Pte Ltd, she came to be appointed Director and President of the ATS Group and RI Group of companies. She is a President Scholar of the Royal Institution. She has obtained numerous professional qualifications and accreditations. She is a Certified Financial Planner of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore and a Registered Financial Advisory Representative with the Monetary Association of Singapore. She holds a Certificate of Employment Intermediaries (Key Appointment Holder) from the Ministry of Manpower of Singapore.
She is an Accredited Mortgage Planner in Singapore, and is registered as a Qualified Individual with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore, with the authority to provide professional corporate secretarial services through the Royal Institute of Chief Governance Officers, which is registered as a Filing Agent with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore.
